Story
This year, i’m undertaking the Kakadu Gutsy Challenge and trekking for 7 days through this incredible outback landscape to raise awareness and vital funds for Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer research.
Over 34,291 Australians are diagnosed with a GI cancer each year. Clinical trials research is essential to improving treatment options and outcomes for GI cancer patients. It is only through the valuable support of our community that we can achieve this positive change for patients.
Unfortunately my husband was one of those diagnosed and after a 3 year battle he died from pancreatic cancer this will be my 3rd trek the first Steve and I did together, I continue without him but hope that other have better outcomes so it is vital to raise awareness and much needed funds
